MINIMO

Client / Lithea

Year / 2026

MINIMO is a sink system reduced to its essential form, conceived as a pure volume carved from matter. The project stems from a process of subtraction, in which marble is shaped to accommodate primary functions within it, eliminating any superfluous element.

The open-frame cabinet is carved from a compact block, within which the basin is directly hollowed out from the top, in continuous form with the surface. The sink is not an applied component, but an integral part of the volume, generated from the same material.

An innovative ultra-slim siphon system is fully integrated within the thickness of the top. This technical solution allows all functional components to be concealed, preserving the formal purity of the whole and reinforcing the idea of a monolithic object.

Next to the unit, a slender vertical metal rod acts as a support for a series of accessories—mirror, soap holder, and other elements—which can be configured according to specific needs. The mirror system draws inspiration from Carlo Scarpa’s mobile exhibition structures, reinterpreting their principles of structural lightness, compositional flexibility, and precise detailing in a contemporary key.

The rod thus becomes a minimal infrastructure, capable of accommodating functional elements without interrupting the visual continuity of the design.

MINIMO interprets the bathroom as a space of balance between matter, function, and formal silence, where technology disappears to leave room for the presence of material and the design gesture.
